Shusaku Nimura

- Scenographer - Professor, Department of Theatre and Performance, Faculty of Arts, Tamagawa University - Board member and Chairperson of International Exchange Committee, Japan Association of Theatre Designers and Technicians.

Graduated from Musashino Art University. In 2000, she went to the UK as a Cultural Affairs Agency Overseas Training Fellow for Artists and honed her skills in London. She completed her MA in Scenography at Central Saint Martins. She has been involved in the creation of stage spaces, mainly in straight plays, musicals, and operas.

Awarded the Purple Ribbon Medal in 2025.

Recipient of the 48th Kinokuniya Theatre Award for Individual Achievement, the 38th Kisaku Ito Award, and the 14th and 22nd Yomiuri Theatre Awards for Best Staff Member.

Currently, as a professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Tamagawa University's Faculty of Arts, he continues to be active in both the creation and education of stage design.
